Lena matched with Tomás on a Tuesday evening, mostly out of boredom, and almost didn't message first because the app showed a 91% and she assumed a number that high had to be a glitch. "I'd never seen a score that far into the green," she says. "I thought maybe the algorithm was broken."
It wasn't the score that convinced her to keep talking, though — it was that their Team fate, the highest of the six, showed up almost immediately in how they planned things. Their first date was supposed to be coffee. They ended up rearranging both their weekends around a hiking trip within two weeks, without either one making it a whole negotiation.
Tomás moved cities eleven months after that first message, into an apartment they picked out together over three video calls and one weekend trip. "The score got us talking," he says. "The reason we moved in together wasn't a percentage. It was that neither of us made the boring parts of planning a fight."
They're at just over a year now, still checking their fate breakdown occasionally, mostly for fun.
