A lot of dating and social apps let paying users buy their way to the front of someone else's queue — a boosted profile, a "seen first" badge, priority placement regardless of actual fit. Unfate doesn't do this, and we don't plan to.
The reasoning is simple: the entire premise of the app is that compatibility is worth surfacing before anything else. The moment a subscription can outrank a genuinely better match, that premise breaks, and the score becomes decoration rather than the actual mechanism doing the work. We'd rather have a smaller feature set than a compromised core one.
Right now, with no subscription tier live, this is easy to promise because there's nothing to test it against. It's still the right time to say it plainly, before there's a commercial incentive pulling in the other direction. When paid features do arrive, they'll sit around the edges — visibility into your own results, extra filters, that kind of thing — never inside the ranking itself. Queue order stays exactly what it's always been: a function of your chart, not your card.
